I see you... Okay not really since this is an audio only program but you get it. Today we took a look back at one of the most successful films of nearly 15 years ago, Avatar. We were in what seemed to be the minority of people who disliked the movie so we weren't thrilled to get back to Pandora all these years later but here we are. And.. we've got thoughts. Grab your lifelike Na'vi doll and buckle them into their baby seat because this ones going to be a long one (not as long as Avatar but still).

At some dark point in human history, some people decided that you didn't need to put effort into writing original jokes to make a comedy movie. In their opinion, all you had to do was reference pop culture constantly, whether it made sense or not. So we were presented with a formula for the worst movies ever: take the plot of a recent popular movie, insert incredibly dumb characters played by C-list actors, have them fumble through the "plot", and every 10 seconds or so you insert a randomized pop culture reference that no one will care about by the time the movie goes to dvd. It's our opinion that Disaster Movie was the point of no return where parodies devolved into this formula from that point on until pretty much present day. So we re-watched it. And it was bad.

Here at Parking Lot: The Podcast, we have a long history and deep appreciation of sitcoms. We've done episodes on Roseanne and Boy Meets World and now its time to add another to the list. The two of us each watched Full House growing up but Kevin decided to subject himself to binge watching all 8 seasons of the show and taking notes just for us. We had a real doozy of a task in front of us this time. The sequel to Black Panther, Wakanda Forever, has finally come out and it's up to us to review it. We go over our thoughts on the Black Panther franchise as well as touching on a little of the real life issues surrounding it and then we go through our thoughts on the new movie. If you haven't gotten your fill of us talking about the MCU by the commercial, stick around and we've got more for you! Wakanda Forever marks the end of Phase Four of the MCU and we have a lot to say about all the projects that happened during it as well as the fan reactions and general feelings toward Marvel as a whole today. Happy Halloween(town) everyone! In honor of the spookiest night of the year, we're hitting you with our very last Halloweentown episode! You're probably thinking to yourself, "what's wrong with these guys? They've already done all four movies. They can't possibly have any more material!" And that's were you're DEAD WRONG. Through the power of a Parking Lot Pitch, we sat down and decided to become the writers of a fifth Halloweentown movie, Halloweentown: H2O. We've done something like this previously with Jeff Jam and Cotton Eye Joe, but through the power of rebranding, Halloweentown: H2O is our very first Parking Lot Pitch! We look forward to doing more episodes in this style in the future so we hope you enjoy!
